Parking Charge Notice - Parking Eye
Emsiep0ps
Hi there - I have been reading all of the info on private parking tickets but just need to know I am doing the right thing.
I have had a parking charge notice though the post for my local shopping centre. They think I was there for over 7 hours a few weekends ago which is ridiculous!! I wasn't - they have 2 photos that are a bit blurred. I was there twice that day but only briefly and was elsewhere for the 7 hours in between. I was going to write to them and refuse to pay and tell them what a joke they are but after reading I might just ignore it.
What's the general consensus - should I just ignore it. If they chase I can prove that I wasn't there but don't see why I should take time out of my day to write to them - would rather they wasted time and money chasing it!
Any thoughts?

There are plenty of threads here about Parking Eye so sit back, read them, and then ignore them. Presumably the car park you used was free, so whatever they are claiming is a penalty. You will get the usual supply of karsi paper from them in due course."You should know not to believe everything in media & polls by now !"

see my posts re same thing, when vehicle was moved out of car park and returned.... if it is the same supermarker the wee guy uses a hand held camera.... i requested they provide me with full colour photos of veh under data protection act that would prove/disprove my vehicle was in the same space on both occasions..... remember dont tell them who was driving!

There are so many examples of Parking Eye muck ups as a result of their pathetic and unreliable automatic number plate recognition system Once I was sent a charge for entering a car park on Friday and not leaving until Saturday evening! Just ignore the pathetic threatmail from these useless scammers- I do regularly.Still waiting for Parking Eye to send the court summons! Make my day!0

I too have received a very official looking 'Parking Charge Notice' which looks like it carries some weight. This is for £60 (£90 + £30 admin fee if not paid within 14 days!) for overstaying for 15 minutes in a 3 hour max zone despite the driver (not me) and friend having spent a mint in the retailers to which the car park is attached.
Being a good citizen I tried to pay over the internet - website security certificate blocked by IE8 and Firefox. I then tried to call - automated payment service.
In sum, I am satisfied that these cowboys are just that and I will await further correspondence with relish. We also won't visit the retailers attached to that car park again and I will be letting their customer service departments know...:mad:0 -
Make no attempt to contact these Parking Eye Enforcement Company's, in fact don't even read them as other's have said nothing to worry about totally non-enforcible but make great fire-lighters:rotfl:0

If he still thinks this scam fake PCN needs paying after watching the Watchdog solicitor's clear opinion, then can he also send me some money please?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
