  • well if you don't manage to sleep, it is apparently worth calling after 2.30pm as they're investigating the issue so even if money's not credited, they may have more info

To be honest, I feel a bit calmer now lol I was starting to panic!

It's scary it's showing theres no payments on the system!
At least if they could see one coming that would be a relief, I've had mine weekly for 3 years.

I'm really worried apart from a small child benefit payment some weeks Child tax is all we have to live on.

Hopefully it is an error Walford, seems to be. As we are all with the same bank and expecting the same payments.

Think I am going to put a movie on lol
  • I feel a bit better after checking it here, if it's an issue for a few we know we haven't forgot to fill a form or something :o
  • I know Walford - I was hoping they could reassure me the payment was pending at least. Barclays are weird like that - sometimes when I call, supervisers have been able to tell me about pending credits, other times they tell me they don't have a clue how to check that and they've never heard of it before!
Like you, I rely on tax credits to live. my wages are small and only just cover rent and council tax, so I'm really stuffed without them

laisbojar83 - i'm hoping it's a delay rather than a full blown error - It's happened before that there's been errors with BACs payments through Barclays and people have had to wait days for the payment :-( sorry - don't mean to worry you anymore, I'm a natural worrier, always thinking of worst case scenario!
  • True - I feel better in many ways, at least we know we haven't done anything wrong/had payments stopped/not filled in a form and it's probably just a delay!

    True!

Ive got pride & prejudice on and I will check again after 2.30. I will let you guys know. Fingers crossed everything will be sorted by then!

That makes two of us then, I am a natural worrier as well!
I am trying to keep positive and hopefully we will be all right. It is just a matter of waiting, I hope!
  • I'm the same with being a worrier but don't think my anxiety disorder helps, I know it's prob just a late payment but it isn't helping the breathing.

I'm staying positive, thinking at least I've got food for the kids.....sorted xmas....Got to stop checking my account the £18 I have in it really scares me lol!

lolol walford, that really made me giggle. I can almost imagine the £18.00 everytime you log in lol :rotfl:
  • heh I guess by definition we're all worriers, we're all panicking about non payment at 1.30am on an internet forum and we've all been checking our accounts from midnight!
I get panic attacks too Walford, so seemingly little things like this can really freak me out :-( At least we know it's a problem at their end, that's been acknowledged and is being investigated. And hopefully, by the morning either the payment will be there or worst case scenario - it's not, but at least we'll be able to find out why it's not there and how long it'll take to be sorted.
