O2 Sim only - what happens at end of contract
Can any o2 Simplicity users advise...
I've been on o2 simplicity for the past 12 months, paying £10.21 for 300 mins, unlimited texts with a £5.11 bolt on for 500mb data, total £15.32 per month. They also threw in some extra free 02 calls at the time.
If I were a new customer that would cost me £16.50 as its now £10.50 for the voice/text + £6 for the data bolt on. Plus there'd be no free 02 calls.
So... what happens when my original 12 months is up? Will they put me on a month by month tariff at todays rates? Or will I stay on my existing tariff?

you will stay on the same tarrif until you sign up again for a new period.
be careful with o2 simplicity, whiclst very good overall they do have a habit of removing features in the new contracts - mine still includes MMS in my bundle for example, the other half signed up for 12 months about 8 months ago (despite already being on a 30 day tarriff) and she gets charged for MMS - o2 don't force you to change, its your choice in usual circumstances.0 -
Thats exactly it - i wouldnt want to lose the free o2 to o2 mins I have, plus its more expensive at todays rates. I can see no benefit at all in renewing. If I can stay on the same tariff I'm happy. I don't get MMS free on mine so you must have signed up your original one a long time ago??0

It just becomes a rolling contract month by month with the exact same features until you change it, but why pay more for less?
Mine changed in March this year apparently but it suits me so no changing for me.£2 Coins Savings Club 2012 is £4.............................NCFC member No: 00005.........

Once again I totally agree Rikki! Month by month with the same features and same price suits me perfectly. I wonder how many people think 'i must upgrade' and end up paying more for less. I'll say it again, if what your saying's correct then I have no benefit at all in renewing!0
