Next time you see a courier/post van have a look inside. They can be jammed to the roof with parcels and packages. I remember being parked up in a layby sending a text. A courier van pulled up, driver opened the doors, climbed in and stood on his mountain of parcels of retrieve the one he needed, then turned around, and looked pretty sheepish when he saw me watching him and what he had done.

A Quick Guide to Postal Terms...

FRAGILE = KICK ACROSS SORTING ROOM
BREAKABLE = LET'S SEE IF WE CAN
DELICATE = HOW FAR CAN WE DROP THIS
LIVE PLANTS = DELIVER TWO WEEKS LATE
PERISHABLE = LEAVE ON RADIATOR, THEN DRIVER'S SEAT.
URGENT = DELIVER 3 MONTHS TIME
DO NOT BEND = FREE ORIGAMI LESSON
DO NOT FOLD = SEE DO NOT BEND
KEEP DRY = PLACE IN MUDDY POND BEFORE DELIVERY
HEAVY = LEAVE IN SORTING OFFICE

    Hope that helps.

Again that is not an uncommon site, standing on boxes to reach into the back of the UPS van and having to remember to pick up the ones that fell out of the back onto the road before they drive off again.

The only thing of mine that has been broken in the past few years was a 1930s teapot that was double boxed but arrived with a huge dent in the packaging and tyre marks across it where it had been run over.
