Introducing Scrabble. F. Scruff, the Border Terrier puppy.

Options
Ello :)

The wife and I bought home this mini-tornado at the weeked, our Border Terrier girl called Scrabble (F. Scruff - the F is for 'Florence', as in the machine). Here are a few pics.

Here's one from our breeder - we visited her twice, and the first time, she sat snoozing in the palm of my hand.

On one of our visits:

Here she is in the car on the way home - she was carsick halfway, but to be expected, she promptly fell back to sleep!

And here she is snoozing in between the two of us.

- Has anyone else got a Border Terrier? Anything particular to the breed you want to share? :)

I love Borders ... They always seem to be dogs who are very self assured, and yet sensitive at the same time (hard to explain really)
Some days I wake up Grumpy ... Other days I let him lie in.

She's beautiful, Border Terriers are the best dogs. Not that I'm biased, they are a bit bonkers though.:D
  • Ahhhhhh, she's lovely!

    Congratulations .....

My next door neighbour has a Border and he's terrified of my cats!

We've introduced her to Dexter, our pygmy hedgehog, and she seems to veer between wariness and disinterest. This is a good thing: we do not want a chewed hog! The lemming has been placed on a high shelf, as unlike Dex, he can't warn Scrabble off by giving her a face full of spikes.

So far, her routine has been: sleep, play, eat, outside for loo, whine because it is cold, eat chilies from the plants, back inside and chew everything in sight (we've quickly acquired a chew spray), have a mad moment, sleep, repeat again. :)

Oh, she is delightful. I have a Border Terrier x Lakeland Terrier, I got him from the dog pound in February 2011 when he was 10 months old. He is BONKERS ... has zero recall, loves cuddles, dont leave ANYTHING in his reach, it will be chewed to pieces. Since getting him we have met lots of Border Terriers ... I've not heard anyone say anything bad about their Border Terrier.
