Rental Building Insurance

Hi,
i've been getting quotes in the region of £200 - £300 for building cover for a rental bungalow I have with rebuild value of £130,000.
I then went through GoCompare to a site called SimplyBusiness.co.uk which got me a quote of £138 from a company called Finsbury Insurance Group.
I've done a quick google on them and nothing much comes up. They are quite a bit cheaper than everyone else, so my question is - are they a decent/reputable company to take insurance out with?
Thanks in advance.

Finsbury Insurance Group and SimplyBusiness are both trading styles of XBridge. I dont know if they are acting as a Managing Agent or a Broker in this case but a quick quote and clicking on the policy documents the Landlords policy I saw branded as Finsbury Insurance Group was underwritten by Aviva0

Yes - I noticed that too, that Aviva were the underwriters. Do you know if Finsbury are reputable or even a stable company?0

As I say, they are one and the same as Simply Business as both are owned by Xbridge
XBridge have been going 11 years or so, they have become much bigger in the last 5 or so since they developed a solution that they could easily sell into the Aggregators like Confused.com to mop up well on the emerging vSME market.0 -
Hi Simply Business has asked us to post a response. MSE doesn't endorse anything a company says on the Forum.
Hi Funkey_Monkey,
I work for Simply Business so I hope I can clarify the brand names because it can be confusing! Xbridge and Simply Business are one company. We start using the brand name Simply Business since 2005 for various (marketing) reasons. As an online insurance broker we offer quotes from different insurers. Finsbury Insurance is one of them just like other brand names such as Axa, Zurich etc. However, Finsbury is exclusively available via Simply Business.
I hope this clarifies the names.
