You obviously need bigger hands. I can use my XE fine in one hand, even when sending texts and emails...

Care to elaborate? If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands

I too am thinking of getting a new phone. Decided to go for Android, and decided that the Sensation XE was the best Android handset for me. Have found a good offer with Phones4U - free handset, 200 mins, 3000 texts, 500Mb for £21.50 per month on O2 (24 month contract).0 -

a £400 phone not in a protective case, crazy
Why is it crazy? It doesn't need protecting, it's rugged enough to handle normal use without the fear it's going to fall to pieces in my hand. It also handled a drop of around 2 feet without any problems.
I guess it's one of the advantages of not having a plastic case...If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands

Out of curiousity, what made you choose that particular handset? As I said, I haven't yet had a go on one of those, will be heading down to Phones4u in an hour or so with a print out of their website offers for both phones and hope to sort something out!0 -

I've played with both handsets, and I just felt more comfortable using the HTC, particularly its 'Sense' user interface.
Admittedly I've used the HTC more than the Samsung, as my sister has a Desire, but I've heard the Galaxy is also a smashing phone, so I don't think you'd go wrong with either!
Let us know how you get on down the phone shop!0 -
The best thing about the HTC is the touch buttons at the bottom. Like the search button, very handy. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Update: I went into a different Phones4u shop and the salesman was much better than the one I saw yesterday.
Basically, I am still undecided between the Sensation XE which I liked, and.....the Nokia Lumia 800! lol.
Decided the S2 wasn't quite for me but had a whirl on the Lumia and really liked it.
I can get the Lumia for £27 per month on O2 with free handset and 300 mins, 3000 texts and 500MB data.
Decisions decisions!0
