Don't you think it's a little childish to have to categorise everyone on here as either a 'bull' or a 'bear', using your own special definitions, when many of these people wouldn't do so themselves? Or is it an autistic thing?
Exactly, what he doesn't actually realise is that I am in fact quite bearish, I've made my money in the past by being bullish (at an appropriate time) but what I want to do now is avoid risk. Capital depreciation is my only enemy now. I'm not looking to make more money, just keep the status quo.
By status quo I don’t mean that I don’t think they will drop a bit more in real terms, of course they will, I’m talking about at the point of selling. The way I see it my pessimistic view (specifically to London properties) is approx (in real terms):
Currently down about 24%
Further to fall about 14%
Interest rate compensation about (12%) – approx 2% per annum (to me)
Total correction (to me) at bottom -26%
Prices rising from approx 2016 to 2025 +20%
Difference from peak -6%. I can sure live with selling just 6% below peak, in fact I would take it now if I could sign up to it.
Without having the low interest rate as compensation that means in real terms I am saying London prices around 2025 will be down about 18% from peak, nationally that could be up to about 25% in some places (who knows?) I don’t think that’s particularly bullish.
That's my pessimistic view, my optimistic view would probably be about 10% better, so around -8% in real terms for London (again I would say not particularly bullish)Chuck Norris can kill two stones with one birdThe only time Chuck Norris was wrong was when he thought he had made a mistakeChuck Norris puts the "laughter" in "manslaughter".I've started running again, after several injuries had forced me to stop0 -

A few minutes of fun.... as and when I choose.
It's quite clear the ones who put him on ignore are the ones who genuinely get wound up by his idiotic and provocative style.
Luckily we're not all as sensitive.
I choose when to interact with him and on what terms. I'm sure he'd say the same of me.
Although he clearly has trouble disengaging from an argument first, he's clearly not as sensitive as those putting him on ignore and letting the world know.
The ignore function is there for genuine personal abuse or as a large advertisement that someone can't help themselves about what they reply to and when, from a particular individual who winds them up.
I just see it as a complete and utter waste of time, I find myself being drawn into long pathetic pointless squabbles. I too probably suffer the same trouble as geneer in (as you say) disengaging from an arguement, which means we are doomed to go on forever.
That's where the ignore function can come in handy (even though as you say it's not what it is probably designed for) to draw a line under it, plus I suspect that he actually enjoys it rather than seeing it as a waste of time, that's the difference between us, I have far more important things to do with my time.Chuck Norris can kill two stones with one birdThe only time Chuck Norris was wrong was when he thought he had made a mistakeChuck Norris puts the "laughter" in "manslaughter".I've started running again, after several injuries had forced me to stop0 -

The quality of the rant convinced me you were serious.
Of course that then invites me to mock you for your hypocritical behaviour re multiple identities.
I won't even get on to the other accusations.
Did I guess right or have I just fallen hook, line and sinker?
i can assure you, with 100% honesty, that this is the only account i have, or have ever had
i've seen sibleys nonsense on HPC for a while and his gibberings in the daily express0 -
hang on....in the past you have said
a) that you own some BTL's
b) that you work for the daily express
c) that house prices are rising where you live
:rotfl:
are you now going back on these things?
and are you seriously trying to take the moral high ground, now that you have been proven the be a lying, multiple-identity, small-minded, pathetic little man?
oh please...sibley / mr ree / STR filth / grandstand frank....or whatever you call yourself....you've spent years trolling multiple internet forums, telling lie upon lie...showing people what a horrible little bigot you are
one post trying to absolve yourself of the tripe you have posted in several thousand other posts does not wash
you openly ridicule anyone without the means to buy...even if it was because they were simply born too late to get on the property gravy train......you have written hundreds of comments to people that show exactly what sort of person you are.
feel free to leave this forum and every other one that you inhabit...and feel free to keep your poisonous little comments to yourself....no one believes you and no one likes you......
i know you won't though....the next time sarah o'grady writes one of her fabricated stories in the express, you'll be all over it, with one of your multiple identities
you are not brave, and you are not clever.....
Look, I really want you to understand me.
You are exactly the type of person I want to get to. A HPC nasty piece of work.
You are not a young priced out buyer. A saver who is losing interest or even a STR gambler.
You are an under achiever who is jealous of other people and wants them to lose their house and end up in the same situation as you are in now.
Maybe you are divorced, sick or had bad luck. To be honest I don't know or care. It's not my problem what you have or don't have.
If you are thick and stupid enough to believe I work for the Express, am an EA, have multiple Id's on here or anywhere then it makes it a lot clearer why you don't own a home.
When I lived in UK I was just a normal working bloke on the clock like you probably are. Paid by the hour.
OK, I got lucky getting a job in Thailand but I'm nothing special and still work for a living. I have a place rented out and do own something else but I'm not a property tycoon by any means.
Saying that, I wouldn't swap my life with yours thanks.
The only people I wanted to ridicule are people in your gang. Do you understand now? Are we clear? The HPC hardcore. I've been having a good laugh p'ing you off.
Everytime you copy and paste my comments on HPC website it makes me laugh my head off. You have been my personal clowns. Something for me to do between e mails at work.
People like you need to learn how to take life's hardships with a stiff upper lip.
Most of the home owners on these boards get annoyed with idiots like you trying to write off our money because we worked hard to get it.
Most started in an old terraced hell hole, done it up, sold it then traded up. Personally, I have not been given 1 pence help from anyone.
So there you have it. I only wish Jeremy Beadle was alive and could have announced it to your face. :rotfl:We love Sarah O Grady0 -

wrong...on every level.
i'm a director in a FTSE 100 company.
i STR'd in 2007 (due to a job move rather than to profit). just after i sold, prices started to dip and someone i know suggested that i should invest the lot in gold and silver, which i did.
i'm not a hardcore HPC person. i only look at it occasionally, and i do not wish bad on anyone, except scum like you who think they should benefit from others misfortune
if you want me to dig out any of your previous posts to demonstrate what i am saying, just let me know...there are hundreds for me to choose from
you are a a compulsive liar and you have been caught out
as for not having multiple identities...it's so obvious0 -

Here is Mr 100% Honest FTSE 100 Director.
Someone who is at the top of their game.
Yet is someone who can't tell the difference between "your" and "you're".
Someone who has no idea where and when to use an apostrophe.
Your past posts are hilarious.
A sure sign of a classical eduaction and a real high flier.
