Most of the time I was renting each one of these reports that came out was going upwards. Now I have finally bought somewhere I reckon each one of these will be down for many months.
Still better than renting though.0 -
I just took your advice and put Geneer on ignore as well.
No point speaking to him.
I wouldn't ask a tramp his views on where house prices are going. Same thing to me.:)
I had him on ignore a couple of weeks ago, for some bizarre reason I decided to undo it, but after the last couple of days I suddenly realised why I did it in the first place.
Not for the reasons you said, for me it's because there is zero value in it, I find him very dysfunctional, he hasn't got a good word to say about anyone or anything. I'm not referring to me of course, that would never happen, but I can't recall one pleasant thing he has said on this site about anyone or anything unless it was at someone else's expense.
So I'm joining you, he's on ignore again.Chuck Norris can kill two stones with one birdThe only time Chuck Norris was wrong was when he thought he had made a mistakeChuck Norris puts the "laughter" in "manslaughter".I've started running again, after several injuries had forced me to stop0 -

I put geneer on ignore at the same time and I have to say that it was the right decision. I only ever see his purile, childish posts when people quote him and I have to say that, happily, I've notice this is happening less and less as more people marginalise him.
I often see between three and four geneer posts after each other (I don't know what he is saying as I just see the "This user is on your Ignore List. " message) and the conversation just goes on without pause. It's almost like watching a gorup of adults chatting with a 5 year old child jumping about trying to attract attention. No doubt geneer is performing the forum equivalent of cartwheels and forward rolls, shouting "Look at me everyone!!" while the adults go, "yes dear, very good" and return to their discussion.
All I can say is that I'm well out of it, and so would you be if you had him on Ignore.
Yes you are correct, but as you can see in my response to Sibley (above) who has also joined us, he's back on ignore again. Otherwise I was just going to waste my time bickering with him everyday, but there's a lot more to life than that, maybe one day he will realise that too.
Appolgies to the rest of the forum for our pathetic pointless bickering.Chuck Norris can kill two stones with one birdThe only time Chuck Norris was wrong was when he thought he had made a mistakeChuck Norris puts the "laughter" in "manslaughter".I've started running again, after several injuries had forced me to stop0 -

Yet you reply to Sibley and have not got him on ignore?0 -

I've got nothing against Sibley, not because he is a bull (actually I am not that much of a bull in reality) but because I think everyone is entitled to their own opinion. It's not geneer's opinions that I find objectionable it's his attitude to others and the way he always just muddles the issue. I realise of course that Sibley can also at times be insensitive to others but not 100% of the time and our paths rarely cross.
Although strangely last month he confused me with someone else and had a right go at me, when he realised that he was wrong, he apologised, can you imagine geneer doing that?Chuck Norris can kill two stones with one birdThe only time Chuck Norris was wrong was when he thought he had made a mistakeChuck Norris puts the "laughter" in "manslaughter".I've started running again, after several injuries had forced me to stop0 -
And, for my part .. the market in the South of Hampshire/East Dorset is extremely bouyant with firm prices edging upwards .... prices up about 20% on 12 months ago.
Who's that trip-trapping over my bridge?...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Yeah. Thats some absolute top notch ignoring going on by RenovationMan.0 -
I gather that you find some bizarre significance in the playground distinction between bulls and bears that you and a few others cling to, but I reckon that a majority of posters on this forum couldn't give a monkey's about it.
Correct, I do indeed find a particularly relevant significance in the distinction between bulls and bears. Oh, and the new every growing breed of "not-bulls" who consistently voice distinctly bullish opinions.
So I reckon you're wrong.0 -

To be fair I did in fact recommend to chuck that ignore was probably the best course of action. After the shouty "what degree did you get play me at online chess" breakdown, a breather seemed the healthiest course of action.
Sadly, Chucks scrabble for the moral high ground is somewhat undermined by the fact that prior to his dramatic exit from the current discussion he was compelled to scrabble through the forum responding to two week old posts in a shouty bonkers way.

Hey Geneer. All of those posters have you on ignore.
If you can manage a grown up conversation maybe you'll find that more people will engage with you in the future.0
