Barclaycard pre-application70-80% chance-any anyone else had this & been approved?

Morning Izools! I'm 99% sure I've got it as they said it's been posted-only 1 credit search on Experian-16/12. Funnily enough I wonder if they saw I was accepted for TWO sygma cards (total 3K limit) during this time if it'd have been a yes? No sign of any search/a/c info on Experian though for Sygma?

I wonder what the limit will be?

think what izools is saying barclays have posted cards out before, then when it came to just after activation cancelled them

Hi Chanz....why on earth would they do that-especially if they've credit checked-no asked for additional info-& sent card??? The only way I can see them doing this is if they unearthed some sort of fraud, etc???

Banks do it all the time its a total waste of resources if you ask me.....

hi, 1. just done pre checker 70 to 80 % platinum barclays or 80 to 90% initial is it correct to apply for platinum first and then they could offer you initial if slightly fall short for platinum + 2. any further comments on who do barclays use equifax or experian as there are a number of conflicting threads many thanks:T

hey pearls....I know my experian file was deffo searched. Equifax I can check on 01 Jan. Let us know if you're successfull! Yes-they'll normally try & offer initial or another card of Platinum fails (or if it turns you down straight away!).

I used the check and was told I would be turned down (probably due to a terrible credit history). Despite this, I went though this site and was accepted for interest free balance transfer for 20 months for £1250. Credit card later arrived with limit of £5000 and in the letter it mentioned Moneysavingexpert promotion. I have now transferred £3000 which I will be paying off £100 a month. At the end of the 20 months, I will try shifting the remaining £1000 to another balance transfer card. This site saved my life!

Card recieved (2.5k limit-to be reviewed in 3 months)...7.9%-can't beleive it! Card activated!
