Thanks for this. Just ordered 2 copies with free postage (no problems with order; came up at £8.99 each), brilliant! This should ensure a quiet start to the summer holidays (except husband will be cross that he doesn't get to read it straightaway too but I draw the line at ordering 3 copies!)

Is this going to be the cheapest pre-order price? Or will it be cheaper to get one at the shops on the day?

I wouldn't think it's much cheaper in the shops, 8.99 is a good price. Order through quidco for cashback too :)

Mine doesn't mention it on the order either, but since it's on the link in post #1 it sounds like they just bundle them at the time and should be fine. It is a "while stocks last" offer though, and no idea if the free book stocks are only valid for first 100 or 100,000 copies lol

Think I might wait a bit for the price war. I got one of the HP books totally free from Tesco I seem to remember.

there will be so many of the book printed that there will be absolutely no problem getting hold of one on the day IMHO

i think i only paid 3 or 4 quid for the HBP on the day it was released. (sainsburys IIRC)

haha today Amazon have jumped into the price war and reduced their price from £13.99 to £8.99 in fear of losing orders to Waterstones! lol They are not offering anything free with it though...
