why does the report button open my email client? it takes forever. most forums i use just have a form to fill in within the forum.

    It shouldn't. The report button should open an email window immediately, on forum software. At least that's how it does with me. Maybe you should contact admin and check with them?
    Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.

    Does it open your email client when you are logged in? or only if you are reporting whilst not logged in?

    For me if I'm logged in it just brings up an MSE form, but if I'm not logged in it tries to send an email.

    Is that what happens for you today? That is what used to happen but not any more. The only difference now is that you get the Captcha crap box on the report form if you are not logged in.

    I wish that I could make it do that for me - I hate the web based report form and do not use it but that is what always comes up for me, logged in or not.

    Agh you are right - I rarely read when not logged in. Now I get the captcha bit on the normal mse form.
