  • That sounds far less pressurised - write off xmas and January and hopefully you'll feel loads better for Feb:T. And that will be the best birthday present fo him of all: you back on your feet and well. Look forward to hearing you perky by spring:D.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

    ooh poor Nickki!

If it makes you feel any better, here's a worse tale

My daughter was bridesmaid to my cousin in a very lavish wedding. She was three at the time and I had a baby about 10 months old. My ex had recently left so I wasn't in the right frame of mind for a wedding (My DD1 was flower girl three times that year!) That's almost irrelevant.

First thing that went wrong was Maitre d' announced, Please be upstanding for the bride and groom, Wendy and David. the groom's name was Stephen. Reasonably enjoyable wedding. My brother and sister stayed with me because I lived closes and they were each about 200 miles away. We got home, the toilet was busy that night. My two siblings and partners were seriously ill. I'd been busy with the kids so hadn't eaten much or been that involved. I was fine . Ended up they went to casualty and two of them ended up on drips.

The bride and groom had spent so much on the wedding the honeymoon was a coach trip to South of France. They had the same problem. Not nice on a 30 hour bus journey - for any of the passengers!

Out of 120 guests, 50 were very ill. We had environmental health round. and the hotel was closed down for some quite terrible hygiene breaches.

And to cap it all, three months later, my lovely lovely cousin found out that his beloved wife was still seeing her ex boyfriend - David!

    Oh Cazziebo

    What a sorry tale!

It shouldn't make me feel better (your poor cousin!) but it does!

We often forget that whilst it seems bad - there is always somebody worse off
