Problem with T Mobile
I took out a 24 month contract with T Mobile in November 2010. The handset supplied is an HTC Wildfire and is used by my daughter. It has been well looked after and not abused in any way. After about a month she started having problems with it freezing and refusing to work properly, by Febuary this year it was totally unusable and i took it back to the T Mobile store i got it from. After long and heated discussions the handset was replaced with a new one and all seemed fine. Until two months later that is when the old problems started happening again. In addition to this the handset started oveerheating to an extent that it was almost too hot to touch sometimes. Another trip to T Mobile and yet more arguments led to them agreeing to have it repaired. Now almost exactly a year after i first signed the contract the Wildfire is again having the same old issues. T Mobile have refused to replace it and have only offered to repair it yet again. This is not acceptable to me as i know the problems will reoccur. Surely T Mobile have an obligation to supply a handset that is fit for purpose and not faulty every few months. All i can get from them is that they sold me the contract and not the handset as it was free. Again, i feel this is misleading as they supplied it, therefore they were the seller and have a duty of care to their customer. I have contacted their customer services by phone and email and each time am met by the same brick wall of refusal to accept their responsibility. Has anyone had a similar experience with this company?
