wow, I don't venture to the debt board much where this originated, but it's really a stark contrast to the people on the savings boards. I can't imagine living without a safety net of cash, or a comfortable earnings over my expenses.

In pure cash I have over £10k to hand (including cash ISA), if I include credit available like cards and overdrafts I have more like £15k.

Of course I also have liquid investments, so in a real emergency I could get closer to £50k in cash within the week.

I have alike 5 CCs with no blance on them and at least one is a 10K cerdit line. I have no idea how much I could borrow if I had to. I know my mtg has a 25K loan facility. I know how much cash I have and have a rough idea of what my investments are worth.
