    Thanks guys - the holiday just wasn't meant to be. But the weekend is good so far. These things happen for a reason, I am a great believer in that.

    Sorry about the holiday. But wow to the car! We have come a long way - a couple of years ago the idea of you buying a car for anyone would have seemed out of the question.

    Good luck to your DD in her new job. What is she doing?

    Hi Seax - yes a long way indeed! Who'd have thought it all those years ago!!

    DD has a dental nurse apprenticeship - so far she is loving it. Thankfully!!

    The weather here is dry, but overcast and chilly....could be worse, but ideal for DD and I to have a bit of Mother/Daughter bonding watching DVDs on the sofa.

    I worked as a dental assistant for years before going into public services. It was a good wee job.
    5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60
    Currently CC £23,674.36 /£14,895.41/£14315.42
    Mortgage £28,214.65/ £26,254.71/ £25,746.43
    By end 2020 I want CC at £ 19,000.00.
    By end 2021 I want CC at £10,000.00

    Great news about your daughter - my parents helped me out to get my first car and I loved it and them for helping me achieve that right of passage.
