Yes, I do love my burlesque class - it has done wonders for my body confidence, that is for sure, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it!
Well done on losing the 2.5lbs today :T I did get to the gym after work, and have a spinning class followed by pilates tomorrow evening....I know that for me, exercise is the key....I can have a very unhealthy attitude to food if I am not careful
It is 5 weeks since payday for me, and I have spent a fortune on various things.....In fact, it feels more like 5 months since I last had any money go into my bank account!!!

Yes I have given myself a good talking to since yesterday - I really have no idea why I felt so low - My plan is to get myself feeling better about myself through diet and excersise - I used to love spin but not doen it for about 3 years so wouldn't be able to do it at the moment but I am heading to the gym tomorrow! Once I feel a bit fitter I will look into the Burlesque, thanks to your inspiration Hypno0

We all have days or weeks like that Judi - goodness knows I have my fair share of them! The key is learning to recognise them for what they are, and knowing that they will pass. They're not much fun, but they are part of our journey xSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. I'm still here - just lots going on. Work is very busy and I am putting myself under a fair bit of pressure there - nothing hideous, but I do need to keep the focus there.
I've done some other stuff too - I'm still managing to get to the gym....loving spinning at the moment, alongside my usual gym sessions, and have done a couple of pilates/yoga type classes too - it is good for keeping my head reasonably clear, and I do notice when I don't go...
On Friday I went to London and saw Rock of Ages and did a spot of shopping with a friend. Had a lovely lovely day - obviously spent money, but it was well worth it - we both needed to escape the "normalities" of our daily lives for a moment, and to do something for ourselves, so this fitted the bill perfectly
Saturday was the football and saw the Canaries take away a lovely well earned point from the match with Chelsea. OTBC :T
Yesterday I spent a very chilled afternoon with friends and then went to see the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Again, a nice way to prepare for what is very much going to be another pressured week at work.
I have been paid - and I will work on the numbers over the next day or so. As I have mentioned before, I need to work on the money side of things again. Focus is the word that keeps popping up!
And my stupid car is still giving me problems - just not really what I need, but I'll deal with it.....ho hum. Thank goodness I live on a bus route!
I hope everyone is well - I haven't been keeping up with MSE diaries etc recently, so I am sorry that I haven't seen what you are all up to, but I hope all are well xSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. Ah, there you are! Glad to hear things are well and I hope that's a healthy amount of self inflicted work pressure;)
Did you see the subtitled version of "Girl With the Dragon Tattoo" as well; I've now seen both versions and, although I thought the new version was lovely to look at, I didn't get terribly involved with it. Whereas I was gripped by the subtitled version.
Having just paid my tax, I, too am working on the numbers:rotfl::eek:‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ David Lynch.

I didn't see the original version, although I have read the book. I did enjoy the film, as did the friend I went with who hadn't either read the book or seen the original film.
Not yet looked at the numbers - instead met my DD for lunch. Far more importantSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
hi hypno, great to hear from you
sorry work is so full on but I know you were anticipating it so I'm glad you are doing other stuff as well :j
I have read the book and seen the subtitled film which I adored - it was one of the best book adaptations I've seen. I'm not sure I want to see the new one as the other one was so good!
