Right, apparently today is supposed to be the most miserable day of the year.

To which I have just one thing to say:

    S*d that.

    Hello Hypno

Long time lurker stepping out to say that's made me laugh - thank you! Who'd want to be miserable on such a gorgeous day as this?

Been very miserable today!!! wanted to run away and live in a shed on hill somewhere - didn't know it was meant to be the most miserable day of the year! Now feel more miserable for being so predictable!

Only saving grace was that I managed to get a sun 9.50 holiday for the Ester hols thanks to the lovely people on here cracking the online codes

judi, I am sorry that you had a pants day - I hope today is much brighter for you x

My day was ok - had a nice lunch to break up an incredibly full on work day, and had my burlesque class last night which was fun as always, and at which you can't possibly be miserable :)

I've taken Friday off this week as a last minute thing to go to see Rock of Ages in London with a friend. Am very much looking forward to it, and am using it as a bit of a reward and motivation for the huge amount of work I have to do before then. I booked the tickets through the links on MSE meaning that I got top price tickets for half price - not bad at all really.

Still the best part of a week until payday - money/NSDs/coffees and lunches have all gone awry - I think I need to struggle through to payday and then start again with a big old slap.....

    Have a good day x

:rotfl:Sorry judi but that made me laugh :rotfl:. Look at it this way - if that's the most miserable day of the year (and it wasn't ALL miserable as you booked a holiday :T) then think how fab the rest of the year will be :)

gallygirl's right (although I laughed too - sorry :rotfl: :o)

Just popped in to say Hypno! Don't battle on til payday then start again! Start again NOW - every day is a new day, don't have to fall off the wagon just because you haven't done it perfectly! Think how fab you'll feel if you save £5, or £10 or whatever it would be *this* week too! :T :T

(:o sorry, ignore me if you like, just had to say it :D)

Oh I know you are right, Cheery - my head is just not in the right place for it at the mo. Nothing bad going on, just too many things to focus on, and am in that mode where I am having to accept that I cannot be on top of everything all of the time.

Payday is Tuesday, so not long to wait - it is then a natural line to have drawn under everything. And I have a mega few days at work still to cope with so that is my focus priority right now :o

I *am* making the time to go to the gym, though - there is still some sort of balance there, and it will all settle down again soon.

January blues are mine....that's all. Roll on Springtime!

Glad it made you laugh - and reading back you are right gallygirl - It wasn't all bad - got a cheap holiday and I lost 2.5lb at Slimming world!!! need to get a grip shouldn't be miserable at all! Feeling much more positive today!:j

Hypno - your Burlesque class sounds fab - I love Burlesque- I looked to see if there was anything like that near me and there is!!! my aim is to loose 2 stone and thet hopefully should give me the confidence to give it a try - and I agree payday is always a good time to draw a line and start again with the spending - good luck. I still have ages until payday. This month is dragging on - will be almsot 7 weeks since last pay day for me!
