Working in a law firm it's v handy (for me) cos I know more people who can counter-sign passports than most. I actually joined the Institute of Legal Secretaries (as a Fellow) just so I could counter-sign passports.
I've only done it once (for a friend), but haven't been "checked up" on.We may not have it all together, but together we have it all :beer:

I have done quite a few for both friends and clients (I'm a lawyer) and the passport agency do check up quite often and make sure you really do know them, and for the proper length of time.0
