Halifax not upping interest rates?

I'v noticed Halifax haven't upped their interest rates on the web saver accounts. It still stand in at 5%. Shouldnt these accounts stick to the BoE rate?

They have upped rates on isa products but only a small 0.5%, which now stands at 5.30%.

They usually up their rates at the beginning of the new month after BoE rate has changed. They havent done much this time.

If only it was 0.5%. It's actually gone up by a paultry 0.05% - one fifth the BoE rate rise. I'm gonna stick it out with them for another month or two to see what they do about the next (hopefully) rate rise.

Variable rates means they dont have to do anything if they dont want to.

Halifax web pages are now updated, and the basic Websaver (without card) rate has definitely been left unchanged, although the 'with card' option has been increased. :mad:

This is the point i'm trying to make. why have they upped the rate on the option with a cash card and not the option without

I can see the changes online in my portfolio, but wanted the rate of the 'no cash card' option to rise.

We will have to see what they do next if there is another rise soon.
