Good luck in your new venture.
All the information and tools you require to get a bit of extra income are on ebay and on this site. Sift through the completed ebay auctions to see what items sold for, rather what they are currently at.
Get a feel for prices and items which consistently sell well rather than those that a lottery.
I shouldnt really say this but old cindy dolls sell very well on ebay, my mum picks them up for pennies every now n then outa charity shops. Plus certain old board games too, plus action figures, I sold my old Thundercat action figures for around £5/10 each. You can get them in charity shops all the time.0 -
Sindy dolls...oooer, I have a couple in my dad's loft!
Must go and rummage.

I used to work with a very odd woman who collected sindys, she had hundreds and her house was a shrine to all things sindy!
still, I suppose some people would think my collection of decapitated heads that I keep in my fridge, was odd.:rotfl: :rotfl:"There is a light that never goes out"0 -
Try these, a lot of people on ebay use them

Some of the items they sell you can get cheaper at the pound shops, unless you buy in bulk of course.
Or go to WHsmith and look in there business section of the magazine and fin a mag called etrader, it lists all the major wholesalers in the uk and a few outside uk tooMansion TV. Avoid at all cost's :j0 -
check the yellow pages or yell.com for local wholesalers, the ring them and chekc if u need business documents to prove you have a business to shop with them. if not go down and have a look. take note of things that you think are good value and the go home and check what they sell for on ebay
i buy things for about 80p and re-sell them on ebay for £3. me a the mrs make i bit of money that way, we r saving for a house!0 -

forget places like makro or costco, if your business doesn't involve catering, there is very little profit.
For any half-decent supplier to deal with you, you HAVE to prove that you are running a business, that means, at a very minimum, business bank account.
I put in a whole week of research online to find our suppliers, it's like finding a needle in a haystack, we approached many companies before finding a traditional family firm who took kindly to us, once you have one , it's much easier to get others."There is a light that never goes out"0 -
As others have mentioned, certain vintage toys are worth looking out for at car boot sales etc. Fisher Price toys from 1970s or earlier generally to well, as do vintage toys of popular TV characters (e.g. Thundercats which someone mentioned). Those dancing flowers which were popular for a while in the '80s are big at the moment. Big Yellow Teapot complete sets are worth money, but empty Big Yellow Teapots are worth very little and aren't cheap to post.
Old leather handbags, briefcases and school-type satchels are also worth looking out for.
Almost anything in '60s garish psychedelic colours and in good condition is likely to be saleable on eBay.0 -
I have bought stuff in bulk on ebay and resold it individually - just look in wholesale and job lots!0
