@TJRULES - What was your experience with FIRA?

I agree with your comment about 'expert' thank you so much for your judgement in this matter.

I bought a sofa that became faulty. The retailer disagreed that it was an inherent fault. I insisted it was, and eventually they paid for FIRA to prepare an expert report. The report agreed that the sofa was faulty. Sofa was replaced.

When I was in the small claims someone kept calling the judge 'your honour' and the judge said they didnt need to do that - ithink it was just Sir

If it works the same as as it did when I went, you will be called into the court by a person (usher) i think who may give you some guidance - they are prob the ebst person to ask for what you should call the judge. they will prob give you a pep tlak on what to expect.

if the other side has a barrister I woudl expect the barrister to try steam roll you as they will obviously be experienced and know how to play the game.

In this game the lawyers win regardless of the outcome. The solicitors have been bullying and no doubt the barrister will do the same. I hope the judge has the ability or inclination to see through their tactics. Often lawyers hide behind pomposity, legalese and 'act' as though they are the law. From my experience and what I've read, litigants in person do get a raw deal when the representation is askwed. The system is supposed to be for individuals so if one party has representation, the hanicap should be redressed. Your suggestions re. legal points is v. helpful. All said facts will always be facts regardless of their games.

    what?..........

Regardles of what the FIRA report say's you must get your own report to counter it, if the judge only has one report to base the case on you will lose. Simply telling the court you don't agree with it will not wash with the judge.

P.s your qualifications are biased and not independant.

  • I am intrigued as to what this irrefutable knowledge is - if it is accepted by the world, surely it is acceptable to post it here?
