Hi all need a bit of advice.
At work I found an IPhone 4 which was left behind by a passenger. I handed it in and it was kept for a month to see if anyone would claim it. They didn't so its now mine.
I wouldn't have a clue what memory size it is. It powers on but comes up with the pin code password screen. It says "no service" in the top left. So unsure if blocked
Can a phone be reset to remove the pincode screen?
Any advice greatfully received.

The owner is likely to have reported it as lost to the network who would have blocked the IMEI in which case won't get it to work. If the owner put an insurance claim for it, I think it technically now belongs to the insurance company anyway. Now free from the incompetence of vodafail0

Thanks, was wondering were I stood with ownership. Its a case of it would be great to get it working but you've got to weigh up the hassles and might just flog it for spares.0

At least you done the right thing and handed it in a guy I once knew found an iPhone in a gym and just took it as it had being there for '15 minutes' so was fair game and then he had the cheek to ask me to jailbreak a stolen phone!
More than likely it has been reported as lost/stolen so if the IMEI is blocked it's nothing more than a iPod touch.0
