My cats just farted.

Not the only time it's done it. It really smells quite bad! I feed her on dry food she always leaves wet food. Anyone else have a farting cat? Our dogs used to do it but it's expected!

omg my cat farted for the first time we've noticed yesterday - I honestly didn't think cats did smelly farts!!! I've definitely changed my mind since last night :rotfl::rotfl:!
  • Oh yes, sometimes they can issue a right cracker.

Usually when someone official is here who doesn't like cats in the first place....

  • Mine too ....... Archie sleeps on my pillow and was honking a couple of nights ago! (he'd been out hunting earlier in the day so I hate to think what he'd caught!). Mia does too but not as badly (she's NOT a hunter)

    Almost every night.

Always the silent but deadly variety and quite often when he's asleep on my lap!

Mine did once and once was enough. He jumped onto the side of the sofa and let rip right in my face. I have never smelt anything so disgusting in my life. Needless to say that his diet was changed and he has yet *touch wood* to do it again.

Haha our youngest cat has a tendency to come for a cuddle, get really nice and cosey....then gas you lol. It doesn't happen so often now he's eating more biscuits thankfully as it was such an evil smell to come from such a small creature!

    I've been Money Tipped!
Farting is just a really natural by-product of the digestive processes - everyone produces gas and it has to come out otherwise you'd blow up like a balloon - even the Queen must have the odd moment :p.

We've noticed that our (usually very prissy) cat usually flicks her tail up slightly before we get the benefit of her efforts - she never hangs around long enough to suffer the fall-out though - but we are all left waving our newspapers or running for the hills :D.

    Animals, gotta love 'em.

My cat Lola Jumped up in front of me on the desk while I was on the 'pooter and farted. Unfortunately, it was a "wet" fart and she sprayed my keyboard and monitor screen. Not a pleasant experience and difficult to clean!!!
