Yes, there's lots of fraud via ebay and all business all the time everywhere. It's government policy to allow crime and not to do anything about it. Clear up rate for all crimes except murder is less than 1% in UK. Clear up rate for rape, for instance, was recently extensively publicised in media as currently being 0.16% that's 1 in 600. So you can guess how important fraud is to the government. It's of no importance whatsoever.
So, if you've got the time and energy, you can report it to ebay and the cops but don't expect either of them to care or to do anything about it.
Really? It's government policy to allow crime? Was that in their manifesto?
And only a 0.16% clear up rate for rape. Where was this 'extensively published'? When I did a quick search now the only figures I found were here: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/4610651.stm
Suggests 5.6% of reported rapes lead to a conviction in 2002, which given the difficulty of proving the crime is still 35 times higher than you suggest. Perhaps you have some more up to date figures you can share with us.0 -
We went through a phase of parcels going missing in the summer, we had ordered stuff from eBay as well as other retailers but it never arrived. It did turn up but was being left on the doorstep even if it needed a signature, eventually we asked the postman to put packages in a certain place.
In the end all our parcels now arrive! These are my thoughts and no one else's, so like any public forum advice - check it out before entering into contracts or spending your hard earned cash!
I don't know everything, however I do try to point people in the right direction but at the end of the day you can only ever help yourself!0 -

It was extensively publicised all over media a few months ago. Google is your friend. The Cameron Tory boy made some empty rhetoric noises about it and himself quoted the 0.16% 1 in 600 figure which was broadcast on national tv news and printed in all the newspapers. You need to keep up with current events if you want to make any contributions here. Otherwise you'll be getting it wrong and posting disinformation, as in this instance. Oh dear! That's not of any use for us. What a howler of a mistake you've made! Ooops!
And, amazingly, evidently you even think that your own incorrect figure of 5.6% clear up rate for rape is ok. Well, I've got news for you, no it isn't ok. You are wrong to imply so.0
