When can i get my MAC code

Im currently with O2 broadband and homephone. My current contract expires on 30th December 2012. I will be changing providers so that i can use the new fibre services being offered.

Now my issue is this. I have a week off work after new year until the 8th Jan. Ideally id like to have the new service installed in this period. If i wait until after my contract expires i doubt id get an install date during that week.

The o2 website states i have to give 30 days notice if i attempt to move during a contract. Can i obtain a mac, valid for 30 days, in the last month knowing that it will be after my contract expires before it is used?

Any help appreciated.

You can obtain your MAC at any time. If you don't use it within 30 days just ask for another.

Your services wont be ceased or affected until the gaining provider places an order and, generally speaking, your services stop on the day of the takeover without you having to speak to your old provider.
