    No difference in mpg from petrol, but with diesel I was seeing a 7mpg drop when using supermarket fuel in my Astra, a 3 mpg drop in my Espace and Zantia's.

    I was keeping records of all my fuel consumption and MPG figures, but gave-up when I got made redundant last year as I was only doing about 30 miles a month.

    BTW, I have been told by a reliable source (employee at Mr T's) that their policy is to sell fuel at a loss to
    a) finish-off any independent operators within 5 miles
    and
    b) draw people in to shop for food.

    I don't think Tesco is cheap any more, unless you shop there and then they get you on the fofod because they aren't cheap on that either.


    Asda for me if I'm passing even, Sainsburys are better.

  • Like HDMI cables, the cheap ones do exactly the same job as the expensive ones yet some people swear one is better than another.
