Going to an employment tribunal - advice needed.

Im quite happy to represent myself, dont mind that at all.I'm saying you have a choice. But if you can only give half the info you'll get half an accurate answer, clearly! No one can read your mind.
So before you rush into things, go talk to a solicitor. If you can get a no win no fee company to take you on then you know you have a case. If you can't, you know it's risky.
but i will try and answer everyones questions as best i can without getting specific so that i understand what im getting myself into and what i can expect.
also, im hardly rushing into things. I was dismissed in august and my tribunal hearing is scheduled for march.0 -
well right now I am not sure what aspects you are asking advice on and which of your 50 bullet points you should focus on. No one else does either. So I am cautioning you not to rely on guidance from a forum, and to get proper advice from someone with the time to go through the paperwork with you. If you are not 100% clear on your case yourself, you are at risk.
But do have a search of this board for other people who have represented themselves. Lots of good info there.Debt free 4th April 2007.
New house. Bigger mortgage. MFWB after I have my buffer cash in place.0 -
Thanks for your friendly welcome to the forum SarEl.
Can you define what a Troll is please? Is it someone who spends time on internet forums being nasty to people?
FYI I am a qualified Employment Lawyer. I was just trying to help. I dont think I will bother if people like you troll around these places. You give Martin Lewis a bad name.0 -

Good for you Intandem.
I'm afraid SarEl seems to think they are some kind of top dog around here, always talking down to people. Unfortunately those who think they might need some free legal advice one day seem to fall over themselves to give suck up and give thanks. If you are not one of SarEl's "fans", you must obviously be a troll.;)0 -

No, but when your legal advice is wrong it leaves some questions to be asked about your qualifications, doesn't it?
And your comments are rich coming from someone who attacks anyone in employment as wrong because they have an opinion about unemployment - which according to you they shouldn't have.0 -
SarEl has been helping people on here for a long time, and I'm sure there are a lot of people who have save considerable amounts of money through her sage advice. As a forum we are very lucky to have an experienced barrister helping, and, to be honest, I'd take her advice rather than a 'qualified employment lawyer' any day!0

I have to say I am confused.
At what point did I attack anyone about being in employment?
If my advice is wrong can you tell me why it is wrong?
I am genuinely very very concerned if I am giving incorrect information out.0 -

Don't worry - I am going around correcting it for you. Or actually for everyone else in case they actually believe you know what you are talking about.
And since the quote responded to was DebiT's and not yours - then I am fairly sure that I said nothing at all to you in that post.0 -

What legal advice or qualifications have I given?
As for rich comments, you're the one who seems to think everyone who has a different opinion to your own is in the wrong.0 -

One of the handy thing about the fact that you never have anything worth saying is that you can be the first on my ignore list. Congratulations.0
