Anglian Windows Limited dirty tricks

A salesman came to my home, sober, quiet guy. Hey! I even complimented him on his non-pushy manner. He left me with a quote for Anglian Windows Limited double glazing. Couple of days later his boss rings, offers me further reduction. I raise the question of a porous concrete sill, would Anglian take care of that in the price? Yes, says Regional Sales Manager, all in the price. Salesman comes back. All written out, including note about the sill. I sign. 20 mins later, salesman comes back to house, confirms with me I wanted an escape opening window downstairs and says he has not recorded this properly. Would be on his conscience to leave it wrong. Writes all the form out again. I thank him, but don't read it the second time, because I'm thinking, what a nice, caring guy.... Later when Anglian havn't rung to make an appointment for the surveyor to call, I re-read the form. No mention of the sill work. Regional Sales Manager unavailable to speak. BEWARE THIS SCAM!

It would probably be best to email customer.services@angliangroup.com and inform them of this with your details and who the RSM is and bring it to Customer Services attention. They will then be able to raise a heat call for this and hopefully get this issue resolved.
I hope this helps and your problem will be dealt with.
Many Thanks,

A scam is when its wide spread intentional operation to mislead. If what you say is the real events then it MAY be an oversight (perhaps not but maybe). do you have a record of the original because that will strengthen you claim. With it you should contact their complaints depatment or direct to Stig Hansen he is their MD.
some good news, I think AW joined the new ombudsman scheme, TGO. If they have and you dont get any joy, complain to them.
hope this helpsBuying quality goods which last, should be an investment that saves money. :T
Buying cheap products which fail, wastes money and costs twice as much in the long run. :mad:0 -
I have spoken to Trading Standards. I am using a technicality ie that Anglian didn't arrange a survey appointment within 14 days, to cancel the contract. My main reason is that the verbal contract, ie for provision of a replacement sill, is not being honoured. However, I did burn the first copy of the contract, because it had my signature on it...so I can't produce that. The Area Sales Manager rang me - he couldn't recall promising a replacement sill. The survey department of Anglian rang me 7 Dec ie 22 days on from signing a contract on 16 Nov. The guy said a salesman has no business promising anything about sills until a survey has taken place.
I wish Anglian would just give me my deposit back. If their windows are so good, people will buy them at any price, won't they?? Won't they?0 -
I had a call from Anglian Accounts last week. They said the system had released the cheque so it would be posted out to me on Wednesday ie 14th December. Anglian have apparently invented the practice of "ten waiting days". This is more than 10 days!
The postman has delivered for today, 16th December and still no money.
THIS IS MY MONEY WE ARE TALKING ABOUT - NOT ANGLIAN'S. Is Anglian in financial trouble that they have to try to hang on to deposits and not return them?0 -
Have you received the cheque yet? If not then it might be best to get in contact with Anglian and tell them you haven't got it ....0

I had 16 Anglian windows and one back door fitted but in the past two years I have had them call me about once a week to try and sell me more windows even thou I have told them that the windows are only 4 years old and not to call me they still do, So this year I made an appointment for the salesman to came round, he noticed the windows were not old and asked why I had called him round for a quote I explained that I have asked for them not to call but the calls got worse so I called him round. That has not worked so I think another appointment for the salesman to came and see that i don't need windows.

Its not the salesmans fault, he is trying to earn a living, its the management that need to be told.0

I'm an ex Anglian rep. The reps can be out on the road or on a quote when the name and address comes through. All they know is the lead source ie: existor, footcan, telcan etc.0
