I am thinking of ordering a mobile phone of either of these two companies. I haven't dealt with them before but have read a few bad reviews. Has anyone had any dealings with them and are they reliable?

A whois search on Simplyelectronics.net shows that they don't want you to know who they are. They also don't list a landline or address on their website so it looks like they should be avoided.

i bought a camera from Simply Electronics about 18months ago and didnt have any problems the camera is fine and i saved a lot of money.it was sent by intermail from Newbury Berks. At the time there was some negative feedback from this forum but my transaction was fine

Simply No as problems tend not to be fixed and much of their stuff is not UK .
Their CS about par with Talk Talk .

Beware of the Simply Electronics website-it is NOT a British company based in the UK. I believe they are based in Hong Kong. I ordered a camera from them on 5th Dec, which showed in stock, they took my money and advised delivery from 3-8 days. NOTHING has arrived. I have sent emails, spent hours on the phone to their customer services (they NEVER answer it, despite saying I am next in line. I have asked for my money back and this request, despite 3 emails, has been ignored. I have contacted Barclaycard to take up my case for a refund. I have found a website called Fraudwatchers and I am sorry to say, what has happened to me, is nothing new with Simply Electronics. All I can say-YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!:(:(:(

Prepaymania sell on eBay and been going a long while now i brought mobiles of them and they have been fine.....they have been on eBay for about 4yrs

Just had a look and they are based in the UK.......

Check the Amazon Reviews they are the most reliable and there isn't one person who has a good thing to say about them what people say is if it looks to good to be true it is don't touch them with a barge pole.

I ordered from them on 5 Dec as they had stock available. Told them 6 times to cancel as I needed the order for Christmas. They ignored every request. Eventually after Barclaycard got involved I got my refund today! They are a disgrace to online retailing-be warned!!!!!!!!!!:eek::eek::eek:
