  • Had a lovely day and potted about £3

I also have a spreadsheet and put everything on it!!!

I find this works for me I give myself a weekly budget and keep to it much to DH's amusement.

If I run out at end of week DH will say just take some out of bank

er no !! that's not how it works .

I think everyone has to work out what is best for them and stick to it

Thanks to you both i really appreciate the help.I have more going out than in and with one teenager and one 20yr old, with learning difficulties. I struggled to keep track of everything and got into a lot of debt, sorted a dro in august and need to keep level now but darn depression not helping, have good days and bad atm i would like to use a spread sheet so yes please i would like the help.

Hi muffin man, debt will not be very helpful with depression. When I am in debt in gets me down too especially this time. I didn't even want to look at my bank account and I think not doing that was making me worst. I now sorted out what I owe, what's coming in, how I am paying it back and what I can do to prevent it happening again. Now I am in that place, I feel alot better even though I still have the debt. So hopeful when you get your head around it too you will feel more better. ;) If you PM me your email address I will send you through what I use. It will be tomorrow before I will get around to sending it though. x

Oh, I managed to pot another 58p that I found in my bag...I really hope I have not included this before and just forgot to pot it. :D

I also have about 7 Euros in coins....do you think the bank would lodge them for me?

Only 4p roadkill in the pot last night... Edging nearer to payday, so Terramundi's belly is rumbling more.

Potted quite a bit last night. I forgot to count it though so i'll have to remember to update my sig with the total.

Got the Natwest OD paid off and almost all of the store card. OH couldn't remember how much exactly it was so i paid £140 and told him the rest will have to come out of his weekly money.
The bank shut just as we got to the door and wouldn't let us in so we had to get £1000 out the ATM somehow. i had to transfer £300 to OHs spending account, take £300 out his main account, £300 from my savings account and £100 from my bank account....... So annoying but its all paid off now. He's just got to put the £400 back in my account after work tonight :)

Got some amazing news about my pot. OH gave me 14p change from paying off his OD. When he saw how happy it made me he said he will give up his pot and i can have all the money in it for mine and he will give me his change rather than potting it himself :D Told me he'd bring it tonight so we shall see!
