    Hi LC 2, I thought you'd been quiet, now I see why. I sincerely hope you're right and you'll have a migraine free holiday.

    Hellooo again, elizabunny! It's so good to see you back with us, though I'm so terribly sorry for your sad losses, all 3, but especially your Mum are such blows and take a good while to come to terms with.
    All the very best, now and for the future. BTW, you don't need to ask to come back...we're here with open arms. :grinheart

    Hi Kerfuffle, it's good to hear from you too, still mild in Canada? Awful mild weather here.

    Sleep well folks!

    Hi Sue,

    No, it's no longer mild here. We had lots of snow on Tuesday, it snowed all night on Monday night and all through Tuesday until the evening. I had a meeting to go to on Tuesday and I got to town only to then receive an email to say it was cancelled :mad:

    On Tuesday the forecast predicted a -40 with wind chill factor, and it certainly felt like it :eek:

    On the plus side the temperature has risen and we haven't had any significant snow since, so that's good, but on the minus side, the snow we had last night blocked the satalite dish so guess who had to go up the ladder to clear it :(

    And just to keep on topic, no pennies in the pot for me :(

    So no smiley faces from me today, :) oops, it slipped out.
  • £2.45 potted this evening. Still managing to keep on top of taking a packed lunch to work too, yayyy!

    Hi Everyone. I would love to come back and try again. I missed last year due to the sad loss of my DM and 2 much loved pets. I didn't have the heart for anything. However, I did save a little bit in my pot last year. So if it ok I'll just leave it in and keep adding to it. I still have my number so can I come back please?:j

    Sorry to hear of your sad losses,but welcome back.

    Morning everyone, have a lovely day whatever you do!
    I know I'm stupid but is there anywhere I can find out what all the abbreviations are you guys use? I can't work out what half of them are :(

    That isn't being stupid, Ruth, that's often heard from new members and is natural so is much better to ask as you've done.

    BTW = by the way
    DH, DM, DD, DS, etc are darling husband, darling Mum, darling daighter/son
    HTH = hope that helps

    If there are any others (I can't think right now, too early in the day) then do just ask us...please. :)

    Cor, that sounds bally bitter, Kerfuffle!!!!!! Our friends did say it was expected and I reply to them tomorrow, so was just asking you meantime, but wasn't thinking it woulf be quite THAT cold this quick! Bad luck with the satellite dish.

    Well done SteffieLou and mummytogirls.

    the abbreviations that really stumped me was IYSWIM and AFAIK :rotfl: never asked anyone what it was, took me about 6 months to work out it was 'if you see what I mean' and 'as far as I know' :rotfl: For a while I thought that second one was to do with kissing as it reminded me of SWALK :rotfl:

    off to morrisons today so hopefully pennies for my pot and have decided against my kindle as DH has an android so I could just use that so it feels like a waste of money :( so will buy a new game for my PC instead :j :j . . . as the last 3 games DH bought me for birthdays / xmas he got for the ps3 and i'll be honest I cant use them bleeding buttons for love nor money :rotfl:

  • Hello all, after a crazy old 2011 with many ups and many more downs I'm back! I have to admit I had to open the tin during a very desperate time and there was about £100 in it. But I have a brand new spongebob tin and I have just put in a £.

    I hope you all have a super saving start to 2012.
    Love and squeezes
