"Sealed Pot Challenge 5"

Morning everyone and happy new year.
I found 20p in Ikea on Sat.
I won £4 yesterday which will go into the pot today
And I had a dream last night that I found loads of Roadkill! I think I'm officially obsessed with this challenge.
I didn't receive a terrramundi for Xmas so I'm going to buy one today. Is it advisable to put notes in it as well as coins or are they too hard to fish out? (on the 30th Nov of course)
Enjoy the bank holiday!

My tesco extra was selling big 'pots of dreams' (so basically terramundis :rotfl:) for £8 so worth a look in there
It is possible to fish the notes out with alot of patience and a pair of tweezers, but as I have no patience and would probably end up smashing the thing in frustration im sticking to coins :rotfl: :rotfl:SPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £1691.15/£1000 (18) £225/£10000 -
Sue- UU can you count me for this year please?
My pot from last year is still sealed as I'm saving for my big 40th birthday bash in Las Vegas.
I will declare my total for 18 months of saving in Aug - if that's OK with you!
Hiya Scrappie
I'm sure Sue will say it's OK to carry on and declare in August, so just carry on with your original numberIvebeen inspired by all the posts on here to start my own pot & well just see what I get to by nearer the end of the year. I've dug around and found spare change, plus some notes for Childcare costs I had budgeted for but didn't need so in the pot today is £23.24.

I need to go out in a minute hoping that I might find a coin on the floor or something; because I do not need anything; so I do not need to spend any money....can't break into a note just to put in pot; but I am so addicted its really tempting!x3 Children - 2004 :heart2: 2014 :heart2: 2017 :heart2:

Hi Sue
Please may I join? I have lurked for almost 2 years:eek: and finally got up this morning and made 2 pots (out of old Horlicks type pots , well at least Asda's version).:o
I had some coins in old piggy banks on my dresser and I have put them in my pots not sure of the amount but a start!!
I hope you won't mind if I don't set a target I would just like to do the best I can. I want to make 2012 MY year in more ways than one but don't want to run before I can walk.

Well done MosestyB, men need a little extra tuition here and there..well except our sparky, of course.
Don't worry about how you've been with cash in the past, Thriftkitten, it's from now on that counts and you've started out well. :grinheart
Hi Elle1267, I don't think I would save notes in my Terramundi, far too much of a problem fishing out, how about doing another sealable tin for them?
Don't worry samtoby, treat today as an NSD = a no spending day, they're important too when we're trying to cut back. Mostly I have 6 of em in a week!
Oh well if it's DH's cash, so much the better eh, DorsetGirl! Always gives me a bit more of a buzz, a bit like pocket pennies! :jWell folks after a few late comers added their Totals on SPC 4 yesterday, we have a brand newSue x
