Of course you can join, Little Miss Frugal and nahnahnat! A very warm welcome to you.
Have fun saving. You'll find your number at the bottom of the list on post 4 of page 1. Please read through post 1 as it'll let you know exactly what to do with the challenge.
*Please pop your numbers on your sigs, it helps so very much.Little_Miss_Frugal wrote:I figure if I put any money in when I fancy an impulse buy, I should get quite a bit saved
That would be an ideal way to save, Little Miss Frugal, "do I need it..or just want it?! If it's the latter, leave it there! No need for the embarrassed face, for that idea it should be :j!Thanks sue, and hi to everyone.
I have just tried to add my number to sig and it says bb code to big, i dont know what this meanscan anyone help please?
Hi bubbs, are you sure you've clicked "saved....." at the bottom? If not give it aother go. If it's still the same then make sure you're not using the lettering/numbers too large. If the bb code comes up again assume, no matter what, that it's ok, then go to the "Forum" top right and onto this (SPC) or any other previously bookmarked MSE thread and see it it's alright.
If not, try the Techie boards (about half way down the main board). Usually though it means you've not done something quite right. Let us know how you get on. All the best.
Hi there Maz and all the best for the New Year to you also.
Very good Joyce M, your MIL must have had telepathy...see if you can get her to help fill your pot!
You've got it perfectly right, samtoby, brilliant!!
Well done, Jackies. and Lost.
Good work Oops and jakes-mum...keep on trying and be most indignant  They'll probably give it to you! Yes, you too, supasick.
Night all and have a lovely day tomorrow.

Thanks sue, and hi to everyone.

Hi bubbs,
I haven't really got any tips for putting your number in your signature, I've always found it to be pretty straight forward. Underneath where you would put your signature there is a list of the things you're permitted and not permitted to do.So I suppose my main thought is whether you were trying to put in a straight forward signature or whether you were making it big or linking it to something? I'd suggest putting something straight forward and simple in there and once it's in then progressing to larger text, different colours etc.
Other than that I really don't know
Edited to add that I see Sue-UU and I have crossed posts, maybe between the 3 of us we can sort it out.0 -
Thanks sue, and hi to everyone.

It means that the text size you have chosen for the text in your sig is too large - I think you can only go up to text size 2 in your sig - try reducing the size and see if it works.0 -
5p potted for today found lurking on the bedroom carpet! DH potted £3 yesterday and seems to be getting on board with saving. :T0

Hi Sue
Could I please join up??
I think I could put away about £5 per week (so I'll set a target of £1800 for the year) - I set myself a £5 challenge earlier this year and more than made the proposed amount so hopefully I'll continue to do so.
I'll put the money towards a holiday at Christmas next year as I'd hope to be credit card free by Aug 2012.
I'll subscribe now and look forward to everyone's updates to keep me motivated.

Been keeping up the potting over Xmas, even put a £20 note in there (xmas money from good old pops!
Treated myself to a fab money counting box that registers your total on top, very motivating - up to £34.06 already, think Xmas going to be bit easier next year just from potting anything under a pound and not wasting pressie money on things I don't really need!
I'm getting hooked on this site - think I might be getting a little obsessed with saving money now!
