Sorry, probably wrong place to put this :( We owe parents some money. We now have the money in a separate account to pay them back but they refuse to take the money!! Can they? I'm sorry that has been your experience. I am fortunate to have very consistant ones and I don't think they are particularly unusual.
OP only you know if your parents change with the wind and are not emotionally reliable.

I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once
