Forum downtime

Hi everyone,

In the early hours of tonight/tomorrow morning (Friday 2nd December) we will be taking down the Forum for some time to do some database maintenance.

The work will commence at 1am. The forum will probably be down for an hour but it could potentially be a bit longer. We'll get it back up as soon as we can. Apologies for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.

MSE seems to me to have an inordinate amount of forum downtime compared to say a similarly busy site like Hotukdeals for example? Is there are reason for this?
