i have bought a flat last year and never bothered to get a home phone as i only use my mobile really at the time. now im at the end of my contract i want a landline and broadband ( not necessarily with the same provider).
the physical socket is there so no manual work needs to be done i think i just dont have it connected to bt or sky or anyone.
how do i go about doing that and has anyone got recommendations on the cheapest/best value deals.
most deals i can see ask for a home phone number , so i would assume only apply to people who already have some sort of phone line , would i be correct?

You will need to pay for a reconnection, which can be arranged by many providers. Start with a exchange search on www.samknows.com for your LLU options.
Broadband is exchange-specific, so there are no universal 'best deals'.No free lunch, and no free laptop
