Moving house - o2 broadband

I'm in a contract with o2 broadband until August, but we're moving at the end of December. What are my options? The current residents in the new place have Virgin phone and broadband.

When I go on the BT website and start off an application for line rental it says that a new line is needed - £130 (or £30 with an 18 month contract). I don't want to get into an 18 month contract for anything, but obviously I don't want to pay £130 for anything either. Might it be cheapest just to pay whatever I have to pay to cancel o2, and then just get whatever we want in the new place?

Any suggestions? Is there a cheaper way to get a "BT" line put in, onto which I can then move my o2?
