  • I just added a couple more payments to the total: £28.26 from Quidco and £76.00 from a TV license refund that I applied for. This was quite a nice surprise as I thought I would apply for it on the off chance! We had a new license in July and I bought a new one for the new house without realising I could just transfer the old one.

There is a bit of a bargain at Homebase at the moment, a rotary dryer half price- £31.99 instead of £63!

Just added £31.48 thanks to Quidco! I need to up my game slightly as I can't just rely on the odd pound here and there from quidco!

  • Oops, just re-read my thread after many months of neglect! There is a good reason for this, I am due to give birth to a mini-MSE in about 6 weeks time, so have been mainly hovering on BabyCentre! I will have a proper look at my statements since March and transfer over some money to the overpayments account. I'm pretty sure there have been some Quidco payments going in. I haven't been active on Amazon or Ebay, so the income has gone down quite a bit.
I must go over to the 2012 challenge as well as I haven't updated that since March either. Naughty!

    Quidco catchup:

    April payment: £18.24
    June payment: £25.00
    July payment: £87.60
    Total: £130.84

I will transfer that into the overpayments account pronto.

  • Amazon marketplace catchup:

£51.87 in March (will put towards August's total)

  • Ok, I feel like I've caught up a bit now!
I have checked the overpayment account and there is £2036 in there at the moment. The target for 2012 is £3060. So that leaves me £1024 to find in August, Sept, Oct, Nov and Dec.
I have a standing order for £150 a month automatically (Aug has already gone in), so that works out as £424 to find before new year. Which is only £84.80 a month extra to find! That is a nice pleasant surprise!
Sig is updated and enthusiasm is renewed. My hubby has lots of figures that he would like me to ebay/amazon while I am relaxing (!) on maternity leave. We agreed that any profit made will go towards the overpayments.

  • I am going to try and keep track of all of the coupon savings I make and then transfer the amount over into the overpayments.

I had a 59p 'brand match' voucher from Sainsburys and just used my 10p off a litre voucher from Tesco, which gave me £4.50 off a tank. So that's £5.09 so far!

  • I am trying not to think about all of the lovely Nectar points I could have been earning if only I had gone through the website when buying stuff on Amazon! boo hoo!
I'm amazed at how fast the Nectar points add up. I have also switched our regular spending back onto the Tesco clubcard credit card, rather than the Virgin Atlantic black card. The Virgin card is due to charge us another £140 fee next week, so I need to cancel that pronto. The miles add up pretty quick, but we won't be able to do any trips to Vegas for the forseeable, so I'd rather put my spending on a card where we can use the rewards.

  • I'm combining my nesting instincts with a bit of MSE by following Flylady at the moment.
I have just de-cluttered a couple of cupboards in the kitchen. We have loads of stuff all over the worksurfaces as there is nowhere to put it all away. But, I had a dedicated recipe book cupboard. So I have just de-cluttered them and am putting two on Amazon (about £13 in total) and the rest are only worth 1p used, so they can go to the charity shop. So now we have a lovely empty cupboard in which to hide all of the stuff that is currently cluttering up the work surfaces, making the place look untidy! :naughty:

ahhh, must make the most of these nesting instincts as they surely won't last!
In other news, I cancelled the Virgin Atlantic black card today, saving us the £140 annual fee that was due to be added on next Tuesday. Our spending is now on the Tesco clubcard credit card, which should rack up some lovely points for us. :j
