Number porting to a different person?
A friend of mine has a T-Mobile contract, and he wants to close this and port the number to another person (long story
) on a new PAYG SIM (e.g. Virgin). I suggested that he request a PAC code from T-Mobile, then get a PAYG Virgin SIM and call Virgin CS with the PAC code. As the PAYG SIM will be registered in a different name and address, will this be possible?
Many thanks

It is possible, and i can speak from experience with this.
I had an O2 contact, and had my number ported over to a Pay as You Go SIM to end my contract. The Pay and Go SIM is now free for anyone to use, but is registered in my name.
Not sure whether you can port from Pay and Go to Pay and Go, but if this other person took out a contract in his name, then you got a PAC code for this number it could be ported to a contract in his name....0 -
Cheers, will give it a go0
