I'm the only adult in my household and if I open a big bottle I will drink it all. If I open a small bottle I will drink it all.

Much better for my health, pocket and waistline if it is a small bottle.

When I lived alone - many moons ago - I had one of these http://www.amazon.co.uk/Vacuvin-Vacuum-Saver-Pump-Stopper-White/dp/B0001M0FZC/ref=sr_1_4?s=kitchen&ie=UTF8&qid=1322742915&sr=1-4

I would have a glass of wine most evenings as I cooked my evening meal. I could use the vacuvin stopper and a good bottle of wine would stay fresh for over a week, the last glass being as good as the first. £6 seems a good price, given how much money you would save buying 70cl bottles rather than the small ones.

I like good wine, and you just don't get the selection/quality in smaller bottles.
I try not to get too stressed out on the forum. I won't argue, i'll just leave a thread if you don't like what I say. :)

I too don't really understand why people are so keen on the little bottles, Picasso, I know they are handy occasionally to pop into your handbag but the full size bottles are so much better value (and you can always get a bigger bag!) :p

You wander about with bottles of wine in your handbag. Blimey !!!

    Would this work......2 meal deals...wine 10.99 x 2 = 2198
4 of the wine gifts sets 2 for 8.00 (5.00 each so 10.00)

    so 21.98+20.00 = 4198
    25% of 41.98 = 10.15 ish
    41.98 - 10.15 = 31.83
    31.83 - 4.00 (off the wine gift sets) = 27.98
27.98 - 21.98 wine off the meal deals
so total to pay for two meal deals and 4 wine gift sets 26.00....
    does that sound right.....

The Cono Sur Pinot Noir that I posted about last week at £2.19....well they'd restocked the shelf again today so with the 25% off this is now an awesome £1.64 a bottle when you buy 6! Absolute bargain for a really very, very nice wine.

It might be worth you looking again in your stores as they certainly seem to keep finding more 'out the back' in mine!

Oh and by the way... looked for the Cono Sur wine (this is Allerton Rd Tesco's in Liverpool btw) - they didn't have any red whatsoever, not even a space where it should have been, and they did have sauvignon blanc but it scanned at £5.99 so I put it back!

Also, if you like Prosecco, there is a good offer on Maschio Prosecco Treviso Brut which is on offer at half price (so £5.99 instead of £11.99) and with the 25% discount when you buy 6 it brings it down to just £4.49 a bottle. That's an absolute steal for a really good quality prosecco!

Is this offer UK wide because I have nipped into Tesco and there were no signs advertising 25% off and no 3 for £12 signs on any shelfs. There were plenty on at half price as usual though. I live in Scotland so is it an English offer only?

Sadly they aren't allowed to have discounts or multi buy offers in Scotland now. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-15125064
