  • Yeah just got that. 36 bottles of Chardonnay and 36 bottles of Shiraz. So 72 bottles of decent wine for £165.72 i.e. £2.30 a bottle, that's Christmas sorted! Many thanks OP.

Yep I got a load os these as well....great deal for the 75cl Lindeman Shiraz Cabernet and 75cl Lindeman Chardonay. If you buy them in multiples of 6, it works out at £2-30 a bottle and the 'proper' price is £6-79 per bottle.

    Thanks MrT.:j
  • This would have been great to put in with Christmas pressies etc. but no such luck as I'm in Scotland.
    If I had known then what I know now . . .

Use the small cartons, they dont make a noise in your bag :rotfl::beer:

Or wrap them in a tea towel! :T (I like a proper glass to drink out of as well)
    Hope is not a strategy.

I am beginning to think I am a very boring person! Have never thought about walking round with wine in my handbag... :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
  • Can you tell me the bottle size @ barcode of the cono sur pinot noir please? :)

It's the Cono Sur Chilean Pinot Noir 75cl, white sel with £2.19 on it in my local (0ldham Hudd Rd) Bar code ends in 454, it has a pic of a red bike on the front.

To clarify.. I don't sit on street corners swigging out the bottle. It's just that if my lady friend (not that sort) and I go to concert (or more so if we are singing in one), a drop of liquid refreshment to help things along is very welcome. We took a couple of the little botttles of wine to a concert in a well known Minster a couple of years ago and sat discretely sipping them and listening to the nice music. Everyone around us wanted to know where the refreshments stand was (there wasn't one) and were very jealous/ congratulatory about our foresight. (We also took cushions and a copy of the score each to further enhance the experience). Similarly we enjoyed a nice glass of G & T whilst watching a theatre production the other week (complete with ice and a slice). Saves the scrum at the bar and the rip off factor, so v MSE.
    Hope is not a strategy.

Great glitch - thanks OP! £52.24 worth of white and rose for £21.52!

Assistant had to come and "sort me out" as I messed up on the self service and I've just noticed she has scanned 7 small bottles when I only bought 6.

Anyone know what CS are like for refunding on an unprovable claim like this? Or would I be shooting myself in the foot when they spot the double discount error?
