Eerrmmmmm you posted earlier on the Tesco thread relating to this so you do know what you are doing! Why have you started a new thread? Because no one has answered you?0 -
Great glitch - thanks OP! £52.24 worth of white and rose for £21.52!
Assistant had to come and "sort me out" as I messed up on the self service and I've just noticed she has scanned 7 small bottles when I only bought 6.
Anyone know what CS are like for refunding on an unprovable claim like this? Or would I be shooting myself in the foot when they spot the double discount error?
just phone HO and ask... say it's not logical to buy 7 bottles when they're 2for3gbp? or whatever really, usually they are quite good at customer service... good luck!0 -

Thanks czerniacha! I'll give it a go.:)
My own fault for not counting the scanner beeps - I was so desperate to get out fast with my wine and 34p chocolate before the glitch ended!:rotfl:0 -
Thanks just got 6 bottles of wine for £15.77 :beer:0

You don't know what you're missing
Clearly! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:To clarify.. I don't sit on street corners swigging out the bottle. It's just that if my lady friend (not that sort) and I go to concert (or more so if we are singing in one), a drop of liquid refreshment to help things along is very welcome. We took a couple of the little botttles of wine to a concert in a well known Minster a couple of years ago and sat discretely sipping them and listening to the nice music. Everyone around us wanted to know where the refreshments stand was (there wasn't one) and were very jealous/ congratulatory about our foresight. (We also took cushions and a copy of the score each to further enhance the experience). Similarly we enjoyed a nice glass of G & T whilst watching a theatre production the other week (complete with ice and a slice). Saves the scrum at the bar and the rip off factor, so v MSE.
That is a brilliant idea! Am about to go to various Christmas concerts (Messiah and Halle) and had already planned to take muffins with me. Maybe, instead, I should bake some more Christmas cake in very small tins. (Love the pineapple tin idea, OP, but what tins might work for bite-sized Christmas cake?) Then I could take mini bottles of wine and mini Christmas cakes for the interval. I've even got some decent plastic wine-glasses...
(Does Christmas cake go with wine?!)
Hmm. Wonder if the Bridgewater Hall gets funny if you bring your own alcohol?0
