Just got 6 bottles of Merlot for £13.51 in Newmarket Tesco- orginally priced at £6.99 each- I was expecting the 25% discount to come off the offer price (2 for £12- thus £3 discount for ever 3) but instead appears to have come off the original bottle price. I went back in and got some more from the 3 for £12 offer and also similarly reduced. In these cases the more expensive the original bottle price the better the overall discount. Is this a glitch or is this how the 25% is supposed to work??? Am wondering whether I should make another trip tomorrow....

I think you've ONLY had FIVE Meal Deals

Guessing one of your single purchases WASN'T included within the deal range - so you paid FULL price for each individual item and didn't get the multibuy.

Given there is only 1 deal missing (and you did get 5) then it has to be one of the following

1 mustard mash-£2.50 each
1 veg selection -£2.65 each
1 tart au choc £3 each
1 finest dessert £3

There are 6 mains, 6 sides and 6 desserts not to mention 6 wines. Definitely purchased 6 deals but something hasn't kicked in certainly.

Just hope he/she gets the dtd that is so obviously due

hi, does anyone know if the gift boxes of cheese and wine/port would work on the 25% discount? say if I were to buy 4 bottles of wine and 2 gift packs? thanks so much for your help.

Try out 6 of the mini bottles and one cheese/port box and if it doesn't work just cancel or return the box (6 minis work out about a fiver) - then you'll know for sure without paying out big bucks.

Yes, this is a glitch, though beware, as when this has happened before, all the 3for£12 offers are pulled after day one!
So check this site or tesco's own before making a trip!?
(I may go again in the morning as I work nights and I'll update from 8am).

There may be 6 of each (and I'm happy the MAINS & WINES are obviously correct) BUT IF one of those Sides or Desserts I've listed ISN'T a £10 Meal Deal item - then NO DTD is due ....

... since one £10 Meal Deal is incomplete. ... purchased wrong item

Note I say IF

Wine discount is correct - 6 x 10.99 = 65.94
25% of 65.94 = 16.48 or 16.49 (depending on rounding)
OK they've made it as 16.46 - rounded in different order - maybe on a bottle basis not total

so when i go back and mention tesco's error tomorrow to the cs department what is it i actually say to them to get my DTD back? and what will i get DTD on is it the meal deal or just the aocohol? thanks so much for your replys and help means a lot x:j

hi there noticed your quote and where you state if 1 of the sides or dessert isnt in the deal. we have checked the meal packaging and it states sides mains and deserts on all of them plus they were all shelved in the £10 meal deal section!
