Hi there, is there such a thing as a portable tv with built in freeview and dvd players and if so, how do you get the freeview channels without an aerial. thanks in advance

Portable TVs have an aerial - albeit usually a 'stick' or loop aerial of inefficient design.
As was the case with analogue, the distance from the transmitter site will determine reception - or not - of digital terrestrial broadcasts. In the case of poor Freeview signals, the 'digital cliff effect' will mean a blank screen rather than just-about-watchable 'snowy' pictures.

Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -
Thanks for this information - I will now probably just hunt down a good portable DVD player only0
