Label Telecom - Beware!

I've recently had my fingers burnt by a company in Manchester called 'Label Telecom'. I wanted to post & warn people about it to stop similar incidents occuring. The scam goes as follows - They intercepted me during a speculative upgrade with my current mobile phone provider Orange. They offered me an alternative upgrade tariff telling me they were working on behalf of Orange. It seemed like a resonable deal so I accepted their upgrade offer. When the new phone arrived to me what they had actually done is set me up a completely new mobile phone contract (also with Orange) and not upgraded me at all. I rang back to complain, they told me I had 7 working days in which to return the phone & all new contracts would be cancelled. Only they failed to mention I needed to obtain a special return code (which apprently is also mentioned on the paper work that came with the phone, but it must have been so descreet that I didn't see it!) which I needed to write on the front of my returned package. My package arrives back to their warehouse... they reject it without the code... Royal Mail have to return it to their warehouse to return to sender... blah blah blah... the package won't get back to me until after the 7 day return period & so Label Telecom get to activate the new contract & I'm stuck with two mobile phone contracts... it's an absolute debarcle.
So my advice to anyone who reads this post... Steer clear of a company called Label Telecom. They are well & truely cowboy.

Hi mancalledfred,
Welcome to MSE.
I'm sorry to hear about your problems.
I would phone Orange and complain to them in the strongest possible terms. All networks have been running shy of outbound call centres recently because of the damage that rogues can do to their reputation.
Many outbound call centers have been struck off the network's direct seller list for bad sales practices - some have also been placed on "do not deal" lists with distributors for their sins, to prevent them from sourcing product indirectly.
If enough people complain about this comany's tactics, they will soon not have any product to sell to the public.
