Ooooh I could recommend Fly By Night perhaps for your DS. A friend went through a wonderful phase of buying me books for young adults for my birthday and Christmas and they were all amazing!!

Also The Book Thiefis very good but very sad and advanced subject matter. As I don't have kids and no nieces or nephews near that age I am not sure if these recommendations are age-appropriate. But they are definitely great books :)

Clootie, ((((hugs)))) hope the tomorrow is special for you all. It's brilliant you have chosen to live in a beautiful place. Wish we had, hehe!

DS1 might like these books - but some of them break MY heart _LOL

Clootie - if you find yourself over this way I am childless from Fri to Sat afternoon (woop!!!!) I need someone who will reassure me that it is possible to survive High School moderately well adjusted. Well obviously considering the HS we went to - we don't count LOL.

Forgot to let you guys know - but through all the faff of last night, DS1 stuck like glue to his classmate (ADHD / Dyslexic / Dyspraxic / hyper-mobile ................. and pant-wettingly funny to boot). His mate was really freaked and DS1 "chummed" him around like a pro. In all the panicking abut the future I think I forget that what we actually have is a pretty lovely little lad.

Now off to do some spellings with him

Hospital done. No more anaesthetics until May/June :D if next biopsy goes well we can start TTC (with help... They don't want it to take too long as that's when it gets risky). Either way, if I want babies, I have about a year and a half... So OH has to get his act together or I'll be off to find another candidate if he isn't careful. Annual biopsies forever, mirena replaced every three years unless I'm incubating. And no papers to read as i'm not a typical case which is why it turns out there have been about 10 people involved in my treatment. Now I'm starting to feel better I'm realising how unwell I was. The consultant has suggested I forget about 2011 as this year will be better.

OH came with me, so knows what the deal is. He asked most of the questions...

Suppose I should do the work I didn't do today, and also let work know it went OK.

Weird how we all understand the reading thing! Dd came home today and announced she is bored in school as she keeps finishing her work and is told to read. As she has pointed out "I read more than anyone in the class anyway and I prefer to do it for fun not to keep me busy". She was more or less personally responsible for the report on their last Ofsted as some of the things she said to the inspectors appeared almost verbatim - they won't choose her next time:rotfl:

Good stuff Green Bee, you are doing a good job of putting your health first keep it up.

It looks like I was really lucky then on the reading front. We had a library bus coming to the school once a week and I can't remember there being any limitations what I was able to take (I do remember once braking my school bag because it was so full of library books :rotfl:).

So, a letter arrived from cafcass today. One meeting arranged for me and one for both me and DD. Now should I discuss with them about my plans to go back home and get their assessment or should I ask my solicitors first or should I just keep quiet?

    Thanks :D

One of my friends even has a possible reserve if OH doesn't get his act together... and I'm going to meet him anyway, as I need to socialise as does this person, so I'm getting on with my life and keeping options open.

Told my dad the whole story, but didn't tell my mother about the deadlines... I'll leave it to him to decide whether that's a good idea! I think I could do without the pressure...

Suppose I should restart the folic acid, just in case
