Yesterday was NSD #7, and today takes me up to #8 :T

Managed to spend yesterday more or less exactly as I'd planned it.....Up, breakfast, catch up on interwebby, exchange a few texts with my chap, get into running gear, out for a 3.77 mile 'trot' (and it was my best runs since 6th Dec), home, coffee, shower, into clean PJs, make dinner (a whoopsied piece of sirloin steak and tub of Diane sauce I'd lifted out of the freezer on Friday night, with chips, mushrooms, tomatoes, peas and sweetcorn), eat dinner while watching HP and the Deathly H@llows pt 1 on DVD, open the 3 pressies I had here while watching pt 2 (during which I ate a few - and it was only a few - of the chocs from my chap), a little bit of a chill out then The Day After T0morrow (also on DVD) while I finished off my white chocolate bombe, then (unplanned) 3 hours on the phone to my chap after he got back from his sister's - meant I didn't get to bed until almost 1:30am !!! The other unplanned bits of the day was the non-eating of the mince pies and the cheese and biscuits I'd bought to nibble on through the afternoon - I just wasn't hungry enough to face them......

Today was up (later than planned), brief interwebby session while I had breakfast, wash and dress, pick up sons from elder lad's place, drive to DDs, swap pressies with her and grand-daughters (another TWO boxes of chocs for me :o ), drive round to parents, swap pressies, eat lunch (yesterdays left over meat with salad) and loads of nibbles, then drive home (dropping elder son off on way back). Had a sneaky suspicion as to what I might be getting from DS2, and I was right :) He bought me The Ment@list series 1 for Mothers Day, and I was correct in thinking series 2 was a hot contender...... I've also been warned off buying series 3, so think it's safe to assume I'll get that for my birthday next month ;)

I'm off to peruse some CD, DVD and clothes sales shortly (on-line), but as this will be using the money I got from my parents (if I find anything good) it won't count as a spend for this challenge - hence having already declared as an NSD :)

Jinty - sorry to hear your Christmas Day didn't go to plan, but if it means your Dad's now likely to get better quickly (due to being on 'accurate' anti-b's) I guess it's not totally a bad thing x

  • Not an nsd for me today but I have stocked up on more meat than I'll need for at least another month, all reduced at co-op. Got 8 sausages, 800g mince, steak pieces, stuffing balls and chicken breast all for £7.76. On top of all the meat I got at the butcher last week we're not going to need anything for AGES yet. Steered well clear of the sales though - I really don't need anything much.

Jinty, I'm glad your dad is getting the proper treatment now, we all hope he will be well soon. :)
Unsurprisingly, today is another nsd. We had our 2nd Xmas dinner today at home, our 1st was at DD's yesterday. It's a good job DS doesn't celebrate Xmas or it might have been 3. :rotfl:
So I'd like to declare NSD No 11. :j
    Warm Hugs to all.

  • Ninth NSD for me....took the dog and my two year old niece to the park. Listened to the Birmingham game, fantastic draw against West Ham. Just four to meet my target, can I go a clean sweep?
  • Hi Jinty,

So sorry to hear about your Dad, although hopefully they have now given him the proper medication and he'll be on the road to recovery very soon. I hope today was quieter for you.
If you've nothing decent to say, perhaps you shouldn't say anything.

Good Morning everyone, I hope you all had a fantastic Christmas and I hope your Dad is starting to feel much better Jinty.

Another NSD for me yesterday bringing me up to NSD #14.

I might get one today it all depends whether I can be bothered to go and get diesel or wait until tomorrow morning before I go to work :o I have a sneaky suspicion it'll be tomorrow because I really quite fancy a day in the house doing nothing after all the hecticness (is that a word?) of the last couple of days :) I'm such a lazy moo :o

    Good morning all,

Thanks for all your kind wishes re my Dad. Popped down to see him yesterday and he was looking better and had had a good night's sleep. My sis had plated up Christmas dinner for my M&D as they missed it on Sunday, so they had their full shebang yesterday.

I wasnt worth a button yesterday, so apart from a few walks with the dog, I spent the day watching telly and nodding off periodically! I was in my bed at 9 and slept till 6!
Feel good today - we will go out for a bit today, not sure what we're up yet!

I can report another NSD, so that's 13! I will be spending today though! A little treat here and there!;)

    Have a lovely day everyone!:)

Hope everyone has a lovely day!x
