Afternoon all!
Popping in to report 2 nsd's so TARGET MET! I will go for another 5 please, so could you amend my target please?
Got my house all cleaned and tidied up yesterday, took books back to the library and got the majority of my Christmas grocery shop done. I had my saving card for that and for once DIDNT have to put any money to it. OH and I went around A$da, stuck to our list and whilst we bought a few treats, we put the virtual blinkerson and tried to block out all the "buy me, buy me" hype which seems to be everywhere you turn!
Today it was the Nativity at the church, which was just brilliant! We dont have many kids at our church so there was a lot of fast costume changes as shepherds turned into wise men as of by magic! Hilarious!
Quiet afternoon - had a wee disco nap, then made soup and prepped the dinner for later. Lovely and peaceful!
Enjoy the rest of the day!

Last posted on Thursday, when my NSD was thwarted by a D/Debit.
Friday was a spend day as planned when I just about finished my pressie shopping (including the on-line order - but forgot to pick up a bar of chocolate I need for my Dad), and I paid my PT for the next 10 sessions (not actually due until the first of them next Friday, but as he and his wife welcomed their first-born into the world on Wednesday - and with next weekend fast approaching - I thought he might appreciate it early, and he certainly seemed happy to be given it)
Saturday was another spend day - went out for groceries I hadn't picked up on Friday as I didn't want to be out in the car longer than necessary due to snow that morning (and managed to forget the chocolate bar again!! so that's on my list for my next trip out as I won't see the family until Boxing Day at the earliest - dependant on driving conditions). The snow had melted during Friday afternoon, but then turned into black ice on the pavements overnight which meant I had to cancel all plans to do a 3 mile run in the morning - so I did the local grocery shop (very cautiously, but still almost ended up on my backside 3 or 4 times) earlier than planned, and then used the extra 'free' time to make shortbread for the first timeAlso finished wrapping all the pressies I have in the house - soooooo not like me to be doing this at 2am on 25th
Last night was the running club's Christmas do, and as we only had a couple of drinks each I didn't argue with someone about who paid - so that became a free night out for me.... shame I hadn't done the groceries on Friday as it would have been an NSD if I had!! Had a fantastic time - the DJ's choice of music had us both singing along (I'm finding it strange being with a chap who does so), but a few of the requests had us both displaying a 'what is this?' face! The first 90mins or so of the 'do' was award presentations, and I wasn't sure how he'd cope with that (with not knowing anyone etc.), but he used to belong to an orienteering club when he was in school and apparently their Christmas do was the same so he'd fully expected it and managed not to look at all bored
But today is an NSD, taking me up to #4 :T By the time I was in a position to even think about whether I needed anything from the shops they were about to close.
I've currently got a gammon joint in my slow cooker - a 1.8kg one, so that should cover a fair few of my meals (and sandwiches) this week with the addition of other bits and pieces from my 'stores' (including a late tea tonight, as I didn't get up to put it in until about 12:30!)Bought in veg for quite a few days as well, and enough milk and bread for most/all of the week - so hopefully I'll rack up a few more NSDs over the next 5 days....... hoping not to hit the shops again until Saturday (when I'll be out for veg and bits for the w/end as early as possible, and then - depending on how much freezer space I clear this week - for clearance stuff later in the day)

Spoon good to "see you", Marmite your early Christmas sounds lovely & LMH enjoy the panto ......
Modesty awwwwwww, they are adorable:D
I think I need another dog .... still can't imagine another here but I can honestly say I am absolutely lost without one. I know an awful lot of that was Ben himself but I'm still struggling - I love walking (it's about the only form of exercise I can comfortably do due to my health issues) but just can't do it by myself a) it feels wrong and b) I just don't feel safe......
No idea where I'll find one - none of the rescues will rehome to me as I work and I don't really want a pup (issues with training whilst working) but finding one that's OK being left for periods & likes cats isn't that easy!
Popped to the market this morning (more for something to do than anything else) and got a huge 12.5 kg sack of swedes for £4:j I think there's about 15 in the sack  so it should last me a while (they're one of the few veg I can eat) - in the garage atm.
Does anyone know if they'll be OK out there over /. keep OK for a few weeks?Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)
