But the public sector have it so cushy;)
I've worked as a HGV engineer in the private sector and the pension was actually quite good comparatively. Left due to health reasons, can only do desk work now, I would be supporting any employee (private or public) if they're having constant bombardment of their accrued rights.
Oh well, I will be striking tomorrow, in bed of course.:T
Lucky you.
Believe it or not there are:
1. Private sector companies who offer you a pension scheme but make no employer contributions.
2. Private sector companies who have closed their final salary schemes to everyone regardless of how long you were in the scheme.
3. Private sector companies who raided their pension schemesI'm not cynical I'm realistic

Not really or I wouldn't have left my safe Government job, would I?
I just expect value for money when I pay tax.
I do however, find your childish insults in an open and free debate, a sad reflection on our Public servants.Nothing is foolproof, as fools are so ingenious!

Want more? As for the DWP, having spoke to mates who have lost their jobs, I think the only requirement for job centre plus employees is "Can you breathe"?
I dont work for any of those departments sorry. Anyway thought you would be happy with your announced 5.2 % increase ....0 -

No, we'll outsource them. That's clearly why the government's trying to save money in wartime by dishing out P45s.
I expect they'll hire Uncle Sam's Army. or perhaps they could sell us their National Guard - isn't that the world's fifth biggest airforce anyway?
If they could privatise gravity or air and get us to buy it back from private companies you bet they'd do it! :eek:There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -
Why aren't we looking for other ways to save money, instead of taking from workers.
Why are the banks getting bonuses? Surely they should have to pay back?
Why are we not tackling benefits and fraudulent claims like promised?
Ensuring that public sector institutions are slick without damaging the service provided.
Why arent we looking at how much Mps are getting? and all the other hangers on?
Why don't we charge tourist taxes or for entry visas?
Instead of giving child benefit why dont we give every child a school dinner which creates jobs and revenue whilst ensuring the money is spent on the child.
Why do we keep borrowing money? Surely the country should be able to balance its books?
I think we all have a right to stand up and spk up for what we believe in.
And for the record I have never suggested someone should buy my tea, just that in a 12 and a half hour shift I would like one.Morgage till Nov 30 GOAL MFW Sept 2016Aug 11 - £100k Aug 2016.... It's GONE!!!!!
2014 GOAL HIT 5 Stone! 2016 GOAL to be a MF marathon runner.

But if thats the case, I want to see company cars, car allowances, share schemes, insurances and bonuses gone for the private sector.
Then we will really be on a par.
Fair?
The private sector has to pay for all these perks from profits.
The public sector purely use the private sectors money. That is the difference.0 -

I don't get my council tax paid, I don't receive housing benefit and I have three kids (who incidentally, don't get free school dinners, free music lessons or free school trips).
But I'll tell you what, why don't I pay a bit more tax so that you can get paid for your breaks, have free tea at work and get to retire years before me?
No free tea, eh? Well, that's worth striking for.
Frankly, I'm appalled.
or maybe your just a really !!!!! electrician? :think:0 -
